An offshoot of one of Europe's top cruise lines,
the Festival Group, is the first company to have
designed cruises for the pan-European market.
The line made its U.S. debut in 1998, adding
American passengers to its mix of European
clientele enjoying destination-rich voyages
aboard its three classic liners - Bolero,
Flamenco and Azur - in the Mediterranean and
NORTHERN Europe. In 1999, First European Cruises
launched its first new build, the 48, 000-ton
Mistral, operating weekly cruises to the Greek
Islands from Genoa and inaugurated Caribbean
service for the line, sailing weekly from
Guadeloupe. The company's expansion continues
with two additional new ships, the European
Vision and the European Dream, nearly identical
to Mistral, scheduled for delivery in 2001 and
2002.
